Mandy & Holly

Two friends, brought together by life’s randomness, connecting over art, and the chaos of life.

We met in a grocery store parking lot over 25 years ago—because apparently that’s where friendships are made. Our boyfriends knew each other, and before we knew it, we were traveling around to watch them play in their metal band. We were the merch girls, the ones giving death stares to the fangirls who got a little too close. We loved going to shows, late-night food runs, and binge-watching Buffy. Over the years, we got married around the same time, had kids at the same time, and we’ve stayed good friends.

Mandy’s been journaling her whole life, and after Holly picked it up, we realized we wanted to share our love of journaling with others. Even though we’re different in so many ways, we’ve always found a way to come together or complement each other—and that’s the story behind Unlikely Friends. Two friends, brought together by life’s randomness, connecting over art, and the chaos of life.
